Citizens are encouraged to drop off any unused or expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medications at the Ellisville Police Department located at 37 Weis Ave.  This includes tablets, capsules, small vials (injectibles), and all other solid or liquid dosage forms.  NEEDLES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  This program is free and anonymous, and no requests for identification will be made.  For more information, contact the Ellisville Police at 636.227.7777 or visit the drug enforcement administration website to find additional drop off locations.

The Police Department has installed a disposal box for unwanted/unused drugs in the Police Station lobby.  Unwanted drugs may be dropped off between the hours of 08:30 A.M – 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday excluding holidays.  The following information provides a list of what can, and cannot be accepted.  For officer safety, please adhere to these guidelines.

  • Medicated ointments, lotions, creams and oils
  • Liquid medications in leak proof containers
  • Homeopathic and herbal remedies

  • Personal care products

  • Bloody and infectious waste
